Admissions Information and Deadlines 

The Admissions Committee will review your application materials to learn not only what you have accomplished personally and professionally, but also who you are. Admissions Requirements
  • Application Form:   Complete the application for admission and return it to Belmont University's Office of Admissions by the deadlines listed above.
  • Application Fee: You must submit a $35 non-refundable application fee with your application materials. Please attach a $35 check, made payable to Belmont University, with your application form.
  • Official Transcripts: Belmont requires official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities. You will need to request an official transcript  from the Registrar's Office for each school you attended and have all transcripts sent directly to Belmont University's Office of Admissions. 
  • Recommendation Form: Complete the applicant portion of the confidential recommendation form and have someone who knows you well (i.e. a professor/advisor from the most recent school you attended, an employer or your pastor), but not a relative, complete the remaining portion of the form. Submit one recommendation form if you have over 30 transferable college credits.Submit two recommendation forms if you have less than 30 transferable college credits or have no previous college experience.
  • Personal Essay: Submit a personal essay (maximum of two pages typewritten) describing how the program will assist you in your personal and/or professional aspirations.
  • Additional Requirements for Candidates With No College Credit or Less Than 30 Hours of Transferable College Credit: Contact your high school to have your high school or GED transcripts sent to Belmont University's Office of Admissions. An ACT or SAT score is also required. If you took the ACT or SAT at any point, have your high school include the test score with your transcript or have the testing center send us your score.
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score - Official TOEFL scores are required if English is not your native language. Scores should be sent from the testing center directly to Belmont University's Office of Admissions.

What Next?
  • Admissions Committee Review: When all of your materials have been received in Belmont University's Office of Admissions, the Admissions Committee will review your materials, make a decision, and send you a letter regarding your status.
  • Application Status: If you have applied to the Adult Degree Program , you can check  the status of your application by contacting Kim Powell.

  • Admittance to Belmont: If you are admitted to Belmont, you will be contacted by one of our advisors via the email address you listed on your application to welcome you to the program and discuss the classes you will be taking. Once you are admitted, a non-refundable deposit of $250 is also required, which will allow  you to register early for classes. We'll give you separate directions on how to register online when the time comes. It's easy!
