Lighting Design
The Theatre Department at Belmont University offers opportunities in lighting design. Students have the opportunity to design for a variety of productions including music theatre, opera, dance, pop/rock concerts, and various music showcases. Here is a sampling of past productions lit by student designers.
Vibrant colors and extensive use of moving lights underscore the lighting design for the musical Pippin. The lighting design was created by junior Chad Chapman and involved 16 moving instruments and 70 standard theatrical lighting fixtures.
