Return to top of Ongoing OppsInterFACE Ministries American Conversation Partners
InteFACE Ministries offers “American Conversation Partners” as an opportunity for international students and spouses to practice their English conversation. The program is always in need of American Christians to serve as their partners. College students are the perfect partners; in fact, most of our volunteers are undergraduate or graduate students. Each week some 15 to 30 internationals gather, so your presence is requested! You will usually have the same student for several months, and sometimes for an entire school year. Weekly topics and idioms for discussion are suggested each week.
Resuming January 14 and going through April 21, we meet Monday nights from 6:45 to 8:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of Belmont Church, Music Square East (16th and Grand Avenues). A cross-cultural orientation is required for new volunteers.
If you are interested in helping, please contact Dr. Charles Parker at cap3105@bellsouth or 367-4387. Dr. Parker is Nashville director of InterFACE Ministries and also an adjunct instructor in the School of Religion.
