Dr. Voight was one of the nation's first board certified specialists in Sports Physical Therapy, and he is also board certified in advanced clinical competence in orthopedic physical therapy. He is one of only a few clinicians nationwide with these dual credentials. Dr. Voight is also recognized as a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has extensive clinical experience in professional sports, having worked with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Miami Dolphins, and the Olympic Games. Dr. Voight has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on various orthopedic and sports medicine topics. In both 1996 and 2000 he was awarded the Distinguished Educator Award from the Sports Physical Therapy Section of APTA, Dr. Voightbecoming the first individual to receive this award twice. In addition, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Sports Physical Therapy Section in 1997. A member of the prestigious American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Dr. Voight is on the editorial board of several journals, a manuscript editor for two others, has authored numerous papers and textbook chapters on various sports medicine topics, has written a textbook on functional exercise, and edited another on orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.

Dr. Voight is currently serving as immediate Past-President of the Sports Section of the APTA and is also on the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy.  Dr. Voight is also the Associate Editor of North American Journal of Sports Physical Therapy.  He has also been appointed to the clinical advisory board for the Titleist Performance Institute.
