Dr. Nathan Griffith joined the Political Science faculty in Fall 2003, as an Assistant Professor. Mr. Griffith received his B.A. degree from Belmont University, his M.A. from the University of Virginia, and his Ph.D. from Indiana University.
Griffith's areas of teaching and scholarly expertise include Constitutional Law and the Judiciary, European Politics, Political Economy, and Methodology (especially Public Choice).

Dr. Susan Jellissen joined the Political Science faculty in Fall 2007, as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Jellissen received her B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and her Ph.D. in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Jellissen's area of teaching and scholarly expertise include International Relations, Comparative Politics, Political Violence and Terrorism, Politics of Europe and Politics of the Middle East.

Dr. Vaughn May is Associate Professor of Political Science, and Chair of the Department. He joined the full-time faculty in 2003. Along with his normal teaching responsibilities, Dr. May also directs the University's Washington Program. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Alabama-Huntsville and his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University.
Dr. May’s teaching and scholarly interests include American Politics, Southern Politics, and the Civil Rights Movement.
