What if I miss the online registration deadline?

If you miss the deadline to register online, you may register on-site during the Check-In Process.  You will have two timeframes to check-in for Parent & Family Weekend (Friday, October 31st 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm or Saturday, November 1st 8:00 am – 9:00 am in the Beaman Student Life Center West Lobby).  Please note that some activities may be unavailable during on-site registration.

Will my tickets be mailed to me or do I need to pick up my tickets somewhere on campus?

All tickets you pre-order through online registration will be given to your family in a Welcome Packet during the check-in process located in the Beaman Student Life Center Lobby.

How do I get tickets to free activities?

Even if you are planning on attending only the free activities, you will need to go through the registration process.  A Welcome Packet will be prepared for you that iwll include the tickets to the activities you've chosen.  FreeActivities that do not require tickets, such as My Favorite Lecture Series, will be openseating.

What are the Parent Association and Presidential Council?

As a parent of a Belmont student, we want to encourage you to become a member of Belmont Parent Community.  There are three levels of membership in the Parent Community: the Parent Network (free), Parents Association ($150 annually per family), and Presidential Council ($1,000 annually per family).  One of the benefits of being a member of either the Parent Association or Presidential Council is that you will receive 2 individual tickets to Parent & Family Weekend for FREE.  Get more information about the three levels HERE!

Do I need to pay for meals and activities for my son or daughter who is a current Belmont student?

No, but you must indicate which activities your student will be attending.  Look for instructions on the registration website.

What about paying for children’s meals?

Children under the age of twelve are not required to pay for meals, but please indicate the number of children that are accompanying you to the meals on the registration website.

When I register for Parent & Family Weekend, how will I not be charged for my BU student or any children under 12?

On the registration website, there will be categories for you to check for your current BU student or child less than 12 years of age.  We need to have a head count, but you will not be charged for these activities.  The only activity that you will be required to purchase for a child under twelve is for the Biloxi Blues show.

Where should I stay?

We do not have an official hotel of Parent & Family Weekend; however, a list of hotels that usually provide a Belmont rate is located HERE.

What should I wear?

Be comfortable!  Parent & Family Weekend is a causal event.  Be sure to bring walking shoes, especially if you are interested in the tours.  Finally, do not forget to purchase a Parent & Family Weekend t-shirt to commemorate your time at Belmont!  You can purchase your t-shirt when you register for the event.
