Mission
The School of Occupational Therapy provides comprehensive graduate education within a Christian, learning environment to enable students from diverse backgrounds to positively impact the community at large and enhance the human condition through appreciation of diversity, problem-solving, and utility of meaningful and purposeful occupations.
Vision
The School of Occupational Therapy’s vision is to offer a comprehensive education to graduate students in a Christian environment, preparing them to become and continue to be occupational therapy practitioners who are committed to evidence and occupation based practice, life-long learning, service and advocacy.

The School of Occupational Therapy's main objective is to provide a professional education programs that meets the following goals:
- Recruit, enroll, and retain a full complement of highly qualified, diverse students who seek a professional education based on ethical principles within a Christian environment;
- Recruit and retain sufficient highly qualified faculty whose goal it is to educate students and participate in the ethics and Chrisitian based mission of the university;
- Provide opportunities for life long learning and enrichment for students, program graduates, and occupational therapy practitioners;
- Promote interdisciplinary, student-centered education which prepares students for working in diverse traditional and non-traditional settings;
- Maintain departmental financial viability;
- Provide support for scholarly activities by faculty; and
- Support excellence in academic and clinical education.
