Accelerated BSN
Admission criteria:
- The student must have a prior bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- All nursing prerequisites must be completed prior to beginning the program.
- The student must have a minimum of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in core math and science courses.
- The student must demonstrate understanding of and commitment to an intensive program.
- Admission into the accelerated option will be determined by the Admissions and Progression Committee.
Application Deadlines:
The School of Nursing has rolling admissions for transfer applicants. Applications are reviewed throughout the year. Applications are not reviewed by the admissions committee until all application materials have been received by the Office of Admissions. Applicants should expect to receive a decision letter in 4-6 weeks once all application materials have been received. If you have questions about the application process, please contact the Office of Admissions or the School of Nursing.
To apply for the Accelerated BSN Program:
- Complete an Undergraduate application to the University's Admissions Office, including the personal supplement and confidential recommendation.
- On the application, choose Nursing as your intended major.
- Have transcripts sent from all colleges and universities you have previously attended to the Admissions Office.
- Submit an Accelerated BSN application to the School of Nursing.
International students, resident aliens, or permanent residents should refer to the Office of Admissions website and the Undergraduate Bulletin for information regarding application requirements including TOEFL scores, transcripts, and evaluation of college level course work from foreign institutions. Applicants should contact the university's Office of Admissions if they have questions regarding the application process.
