Keith Nicholas

Keith Nicholas is an Adjunct Instructor of Music (Cello) at the Belmont University School of Music.
Mr. Nicholas received his Master of Music degree from Florida State University and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He has studied under the direction of Charles Tucker, Brent Wissick and Lubomir Georgiev. During his studies he appeared as soloist with both the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill orchestra and the Florida State University Orchestra and he was awarded first place in the Carmel Chamber Music Competition in 1996. Having participated in summer music programs at Rocky Ridge Music Center, Colorado and Kneisel Hall, Maine, Mr. Nicholas has also studied in Morges, Switzerland. In 1998 he was appointed cellist of the resident string quartet in Midland, Texas were he also played as principal cello of the Midland-Odessa Symphony and Chorale. Mr. Nicholas is currently a section cellist with the Nashville Symphony.
