Sandra Dudley

Mrs. Sandra Dudley is Assistant Professor of Commercial Voice at Belmont University. She teaches applied voice and jazz vocal styles in the Belmont School of Music Commercial music program. Sandra is also the director of the student vocal jazz ensemble, Jazzmin.
Mrs. Dudley earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Fredonia State University and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music. Prior to her teaching appointment at Belmont University in 1995, Mrs. Dudley taught at the University of Houston and St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada. She has performed throughout the United States and Canada in concert halls, jazz festivals and clubs for more than a decade. Dudley has recorded four nationally circulated jazz albums including: Last Night When We Were Young: The Ballad Album, Jazziz Magazine's Vocals On Fire compilation, and her newly released solo CD- Close To You on Bella Records. Sandra has been the featured singer with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, the Tennessee Jazz Orchestra, and the Jazz Orchestra of the Delta in Memphis. Her CD with The Jazz Orchestra of The Delta called Big Band Reflections of Cole Porter is receiving critical acclaim on the Summit Record Label. She presently maintains an active performance calendar, singing in various venues both locally and nationally.
