Showcase Council
Another way that the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business strives to prepare students to enter the music industry is through our student produced concert series. The Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business Showcase Series is a student production from sound to stage design to the acts performing. Students receive hands-on experience in concert production through a series of concerts representing genres including: Christian Music, Pop/Rock, Country, Urban, and everything in between. Showcase Council also produces a Writers’ Night Series in the Curb Cafe featuring Belmont’s best student writers and hosted by an established songwriter. Songwriters such as Gordon Kennedy, Sharon Vaughn, and Rivers Rutherford have hosted our Writers’ Nights.
