VIsta Testing and Recommendation
As of April 2007, ITS does not recommend staff or faculty upgrade to the new Microsoft Vista Operating System. ITS staff are testing Vista against campus applications. While Vista is an important new product from Microsoft it is not essential to our work at Belmont at this time. Many of the Dell PCs on campus will not support the graphics of Vista resulting in several challenges over the next 2 years. Once testing is completed a recommendation for upgrading to Vista will be communicated to the campus over the next several months.
