The Honors Program has largely shaped my experience here at
Belmont over the past three and a half years. As a freshman, it
provided me with a community of students with which to take
classes and form strong friendships that have remained over the
past several years. The interdisciplinary nature of the classroom
initiates interesting, complex and often passionate discussion
among those present. The demands of the classes often pushed me
beyond what I knew I could do and opened my eyes to new doors of
opportunity and understanding.
I am perhaps most grateful to Dr. Thorndike, Dr. Byrne and Dr. Boan, whose offices are always open. Their availability, wisdom and friendliness have greatly enhanced my studies and overall experience in college.
