About The Honors Program
The Belmont Honors Program Provides
High-Quality Enrichment Through...
Interdisciplinary Core Curriculum.
Real life doesn't consist of history in one little
cubbyhole or literature, philosophy, math, science, music, or
religion in their compartments. The Honors Program integrates these
fields of knowledge in a series of courses that lets the student
learn through innovative exploration.
Close Faculty-Student Relationships.
Honors seminars are smaller than regular general education classes,
offering the Honors student a chance to work closely with
Belmont's finest faculty. The Honors Tutorial is an unique
one-on-one with a professional in the student's chosen
field.
Unique Privileges and Perks.
Honors students enjoy benefits not provided to all undergraduates
such as freedom to form their own degree plans, a private faculty
tutor, assistance in attaining scholarships, priority registration,
special recognition at graduation with distinctive regalia, access
to the Honors House (a seminar and residential facility), research
funds for thesis projects, and access to a special library computer
lab and laptop computer.
