Preliminary Transcript Evaluation for Teacher Licensure

If you are planning to apply to Belmont's teacher licensure program, you will need to have a preliminary transcript evaluation completed for us to be able to make sure you meet Tennessee State requirements for licensure, including:

  • any additional undergraduate general education courses you may need to complete to meet State licensure requirements
  • any additional coursework you may need to complete if you desire to teach in an area of study different than your undergraduate major

To request a preliminary transcript evaluation, complete the transcript evaluation request form and, along with a  copy of your transcript,  fax all materials to Belmont's Department of Education, attention Andrea Mitchell, at (615) 460-5556. Results of your transcript evaluation will be emailed directly to you within two weeks.
