Annette Sisson
Annette Sisson specializes in Victorian Literature, but also
teaches many other things, including 20th-Century Poetry, The
Novel, Theory of Autobiography, Faith/Doubt in Literature,
Women's Literature, and all kinds of other British
Literature.
She also teaches First-Year Writing and First-Year Seminar and has
served as the Director of General Education since 1998. Most of her
research and writing these days relates to General Education and
other administrative issues, but she plans to teach a course in
England again Summer 2006. (She has taught abroad before.) She also
enjoys using Service Learning pedagogies in her classes.
In her spare time, of which she has almost none, she enjoys taking
long walks, playing the piano, singing in her chuch choir, writing
poetry, reading, gardening, baking, and trying to keep up with her
three children.
