computer proficiency certification.

Correspondence work in Foreign Language is not accepted as credit for
Belmont students. Also, students who have had three years or more of a
Foreign Language in high school may be ready to begin language study at
Belmont with the 200-level courses. Incoming students with previous language
study are encouraged to consult instructors in each language to determine
specific placement.

that will not fulfill the Humanities requirements in General Education

Vocal Performance majors should take FRE 101 and 102, ITL 101 and 102,
or GER 101 and 102 to fulfill the core Humanities requirement since they
must complete a first-year study of each of these languages to fulfill
their major requirements.

Students pursuing licensure in Music Education must take MTH 111 (College
Algebra) or a higher level. Alternatively, they may take MTH 102 (Basic
Concepts of Math) plus MTH 103 (Statistical Concepts) to fulfill state
requirements.

Vocal Performance majors and Musical Theatre majors are not required to
take a Psychology course.

Music Education majors must take BIO 101 to fulfill the state licensure
requirement.
