Robert C. Fisher, PresidentBelmont Vision and Values

As a newcomer to Belmont University, I have been overwhelmed by the special character of the university that is enabled by its vision, mission, and values. The vision of the university is to be a premier teaching institution bringing together the best of liberal arts and professional education in a consistently caring Christian environment.

We seek to always remember that we are here to serve students from diverse backgrounds by creating learning experiences that reflect continuous improvement in an environment that is already characterized by academic excellence. As a Belmont University family of students, faculty, staff, and board, we value honesty, mutual respect, and listening and learning from everyone. It is through the daily striving to achieve these lofty aspirations that we are able to create "the Belmont difference!"
