MACC Program

Belmont University Campus

Our accounting faculty strive to provide students with a rigorous, individualized program of study with an intellectually challenging education characterized by a rich array of course offerings, an innovative structure, and value-based teaching that is student focused and develops mature students for accounting and business professional careers.

Upon graduation, 97.8% of Belmont M.ACC. graduates receive full time offers from Big 4 firms, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and other leading local and regional firms.

Demand for accountants has outstripped the supply graduating from business schools and competition for M.ACC.-level graduates is fierce. As a result, salaries are rising and Belmont M.ACC. graduates are receiving multiple job offers.

Better still, accountants today work more as financial consultants than 'bean counters.' 'Big 4' accounting firms are looking for Belmont M.ACC graduates with liberal arts or other non-accounting undergraduate degrees, who can think critically and handle complex client environments.

The Belmont M.ACC program helps to prepare qualified students with non-accounting undergraduate degrees to sit for the CPA exam in 15 months. Starting with the Summer Accounting Institute, also known as SAI, students get an intensive 10-week grounding in all aspects of accounting. Following this introduction to the field, students are prepared to complete the M.ACC program with fellow students who have undergraduate degrees in accounting.  Click here for M.ACC degree requirements
