The Game

Half–court game played by two teams of three players.

Teams will consist of only 4 players per game. (5 players may be on a roster‚ but the 4 players must be specified prior to the beginning of the game.)

Playing time consists of two– 8 minute halves with a running clock.

Overtime: two minute running clock.

There are no team timeouts. For injuries and special circumstances‚ the referees will call the only time–outs.

Substitutions may be made after a basket‚ foul shot‚ or any stoppage in play.

The imaginary “check line” shall be the three–point arc. To check a ball after a defensive rebound or offensive turnover‚ a player must have control of the ball with at least one foot outside the arc.

The ball must be passed in from the top of the key at the start of each half‚ after a score‚ or after a foul is awarded.

One pass must be made from this area to a teammate before a shot can be attempted.
THERE ARE NO CHECKS BY THE DEFENSE. The ball only needs to be touched by a player on the team with possession above the check line. (Note: The opposing team does not need to touch the ball.)

Foul

All common‚ personal‚ and technical fouls shall be counted against a team total.

In each half‚ a bonus will be awarded on and after the fifth team foul.

An individual player may not foul out of the game‚ but may be ejected by the official for repeated flagrant infractions.

Prior to the fifth team foul:

Any common foul shall result in loss of possession for the offending team.

Any offensive foul shall result in disallowing a converted basket and loss of possession.

Any shooting foul with a missed basket shall result in retained possession.

Any shooting foul with a converted basket shall result in the basket being awarded and change of possession.

On and after the fifth foul:

Any common foul shall result in a single foul shot with retained possession for the offended team.

Any offensive foul shall result in disallowing a converted basket and in a single foul shot along with retained possession for the offended team.

Any shooting foul with a missed basket shall result in two foul shots along with retained possession.

Any shooting foul with a converted basket shall result in the basket being awarded along with retained possession.
